About
Belcher Sports Group (BSG) was founded by Jabree Belcher, an advisor, educator, mentor, father, and former collegiate athlete committed to elevating student-athletes academically, personally, and professionally. Born and raised in Philadelphia and the oldest of four, Jabree learned early the value of responsibility, leadership, resilience, and determination. Growing up in Philly shaped him with a unique blend of grit, empathy, and discipline, and those qualities now define the foundation of BSG.

Jabree's path wasn’t simple. Childhood adversities and difficult experiences forced him to mature quickly, but instead of allowing those challenges to break him, he used them to build him. Those moments gave him the emotional intelligence and real-world awareness necessary to connect with young people who feel unseen, overwhelmed, or unsure of their direction. His story became fuel, a blueprint for helping others overcome.
Jabree is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., an organization rooted in scholarship, service, leadership, and the uplift of the Black community. His commitment to mentorship and excellence is directly shaped by those values.
As a former Division II Track & Field athlete, he understands firsthand the demands placed on student-athletes, balancing academics, athletics, identity, and life. This background gives him credibility and deep insight into the athlete experience.
Academically, Jabree earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from West Chester University, followed by a Master of Education in Higher Education from Temple University. Soon after graduation, he began his career at Delaware State University, where he worked directly with collegiate athletes — supporting them academically, advising them, and helping them grow as young adults. DSU was the first place that gave him a chance to lead, support athletes, and develop his passion for this work.
He also teaches Learning Strategies at Delaware State — a course designed to strengthen students’ academic skills, time management, organization, motivation, self-awareness, and overall college readiness. Through this class, he helps students build habits that support long-term academic and personal success.
Throughout his career, Jabree has served as an Assistant Athletic Director, Academic Advisor, Program Coordinator, Mentor, and Student-Athlete Development Lead, supporting hundreds of athletes with NIL education and deal preparation, career readiness and professional development, internships and workforce exposure, academic planning, tutoring coordination, and eligibility support, scholarship opportunities and college guidance, leadership development and personal growth, branding, identity building, and confidence coaching.
BSG was created because Jabree noticed a major gap across sports and schools: athletes receive coaching for their game, but not enough coaching for their life. NIL, discipline, academics, professionalism, and long-term development are often overlooked, and that’s where BSG steps in.
